So, I’m on a plane flying home from Oklahoma City. It’s been a great 4 days with AT&T. For me, this is the last week of t hat tour that’s been going on since January. Next week is the last week of the whole thing.
It’s definitely, been an interesting ride. I was able to go to the Philippines and meet so many interesting people. See new sites in various cities in the US. And I made some new friends along the way:
-Adoplpho U., a former Air Force traffic control man. He sat with me on the plane from Oklahoma. I enjoyed hearing his stories of travel around the world. As it turns out, he was stationed in Panama around the same time my parents were. We had some of the same stories. Of course, I was much younger than he was. So my view of Panama is a bit different.
-Pam C., a real estate saleswoman and mentor. We chatted as we waited for our plane. As it turns out, she was on her way to Nashville. Not gonna lie, I wish I was going with her. I’ll just have to be patient and wait for my turn next month (hint hint:))
-Maria “Jpeg” I., amazing photographer we first had the privilege of working with in Miami. Her shots are AMAZING! Be sure to check her out on Facebook. She’s not far from Orlando if you need a photographer and I’m sure she’d be willing to travel if you are farther away:). http://www.facebook.com/
-Laura S., a set designer for a very cool company in Oklahoma. She helped us out at the AT&T event. What a wonderful lady. She kept us laughing with her pics and stories.
-Eva P., an great business woman we met in the Philippines in late January. Eva was a godsend as she spoke perfect English and was able to help us really get thins done. She was such a kind spirit. It was great to speak with her and learn a bit more about the Philippines and their history.
-Megan Y., our video gal in Oklahoma. Young and ambitious, she was a great one to talk with as we worked the second day in the call center. If anyone needs a PA, she’s your girl. Excited lunge!
There were, of course, so many more stories and people from the last 6 months. These are just the ones that come to mind as I write this blog.
It’s funny, you never know who you’ll meet or the impact they may have on your life. This is something I’m reminded of every time I start a new show, work a new convention or go on a new tour. I love my life and the opportunities it brings to me to experience all these wonderful things.
